STEPIN SCARVES

Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms before placing an order with us. They explain how our website, products and wholesale services work, and what you can expect when purchasing from STEPIN SCARVES.

These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of the STEPIN SCARVES website and to purchases made through our online store. By browsing the website, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to follow the terms that apply to your use of our services.

STEPIN SCARVES is operated by STEPINFASHION 121 LIMITED, a UK registered company supplying scarves and related textile products to retailers, independent boutiques, online sellers and other customers.

Our website is primarily intended for wholesale purchasing. Where a purchase is made by an individual acting as a consumer, the additional consumer protections explained in these terms will apply.

2. Website Use

You may use this website to browse our collection, review product information, create an account where available and place orders in accordance with these terms.

When using our website, you agree that you will:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when placing an order.
  • Use the website for lawful purposes only.
  • Not interfere with the operation, security or normal use of the website.
  • Not attempt to access restricted areas or another customer’s account.
  • Not copy, reproduce or misuse website content without permission.
  • Keep your account details and login information secure.

We may restrict access to the website where we reasonably believe it is being misused, used unlawfully or affected by suspicious activity.

3. Products & Product Information

We aim to make product descriptions, photographs, prices and other details as clear and accurate as possible. Please review the product information carefully before placing an order.

Product photographs are provided as a guide. Actual colours may appear slightly different depending on lighting, photography conditions and the display settings of your device.

Minor variations in texture, finish, pattern placement or appearance may occur between individual textile products, particularly where materials or manufacturing processes naturally produce small differences.

Any material product specification, such as fabric composition, size or stated product features, will be provided in the relevant product listing where available. Please contact us before ordering if you need clarification about a particular item.

We may update product descriptions, photographs, availability and other listing information when necessary. Any changes will not remove rights already established under a confirmed order or applicable law.

4. Wholesale Orders & Minimum Quantity

STEPIN SCARVES operates primarily as a wholesale supplier. Our website is designed to support customers purchasing scarves in quantities suitable for retail and resale.

Minimum order quantity: 5 items. A minimum of five qualifying scarf items is required for each order.

Unless a product listing states otherwise, the minimum quantity applies to the total number of qualifying items in an order rather than requiring five units of the same design.

Customers are responsible for checking quantities, product selections and delivery details before completing checkout. If an order does not meet the stated minimum quantity, we may contact you to amend it before accepting the order.

Wholesale customers purchasing for resale are responsible for deciding whether products are suitable for their own business, customers and intended retail channels.

Unless we have expressly agreed otherwise in writing, wholesale orders are supplied on the basis of the product details and quantities confirmed at checkout.

5. Prices & Payment

All prices displayed on our website are shown in pounds sterling (£), unless stated otherwise.

The applicable product prices and any delivery charges will be displayed during the ordering process before you submit your order.

We aim to keep prices accurate. If a clear pricing error occurs, we may contact you before accepting the order to explain the issue and confirm whether you wish to proceed at the correct price.

Payment must be completed using one of the payment methods made available at checkout. Orders may not be processed until the required payment authorisation or confirmation has been received.

You must ensure that the billing details and payment information supplied are accurate and that you are authorised to use the selected payment method.

Any applicable taxes will be shown or calculated during checkout in accordance with the relevant pricing and tax requirements.

We reserve the right to correct genuine pricing or calculation errors before an order is accepted. This does not affect any rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

6. Orders & Contract Formation

Placing an order through our website is an offer to purchase the selected products under these Terms & Conditions.

An automated order acknowledgement confirms that we have received your order. It does not necessarily mean that the order has been accepted.

A contract is formed when we confirm acceptance of your order, normally through an order confirmation email or another clear confirmation from us.

Before accepting an order, we may need to check product availability, payment status, delivery information and whether the minimum order quantity has been met.

We may decline or cancel an order before acceptance where, for example:

  • The selected products are no longer available.
  • The order does not meet the minimum quantity requirement.
  • Payment cannot be authorised or confirmed.
  • Essential delivery or contact information is missing or incorrect.
  • A clear pricing or listing error has occurred.
  • We reasonably suspect fraudulent activity or unlawful use of the website.

If payment has already been taken for an order that we cannot accept, we will arrange an appropriate refund using the original payment method, subject to applicable payment processing requirements.

7. Delivery

We currently offer delivery within the United Kingdom only. We do not accept standard website orders for delivery outside the UK.

Standard UK delivery is offered free of charge. Any delivery conditions or exceptions will be shown on the website or during checkout where applicable.

Orders are normally prepared for dispatch after payment has been confirmed and the order details have been checked. Processing and delivery estimates may vary depending on stock availability, order size and courier arrangements.

The delivery address supplied at checkout must be complete and accurate. We cannot guarantee successful delivery where an incorrect or incomplete address has been provided.

If you notice an error in your delivery details, contact us as soon as possible. We will try to help, but changes may not be possible once an order has been dispatched.

If delivery is delayed, please contact us with your order number so that we can look into the matter. Where a delivery date has not been specifically agreed, delivery will take place within the period required by applicable law.

For consumer purchases, responsibility for the goods normally passes to the consumer when the consumer, or a person identified by the consumer to receive the goods, takes physical possession of them. Different arrangements may apply where the consumer independently appoints a carrier not offered by us.

For wholesale and other business orders, delivery and responsibility for the goods will be handled in accordance with the agreed order arrangements and applicable law.

8. Returns, Exchanges & Refunds

We want customers to be satisfied with their purchases. If something is wrong with an order, please contact us as soon as possible and provide your order number along with a description of the issue.

Wholesale and business customers

For wholesale purchases made in the course of business, a change of mind or an incorrect purchasing decision does not automatically create a right to return goods.

We may consider voluntary return or exchange requests made within 14 days of delivery. You must contact us and receive approval before sending any goods back.

Where a voluntary return is approved, the goods should normally be returned within 14 days of approval, unused and in their original condition, with relevant labels and packaging included where possible.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect items

If an item arrives damaged, faulty, incorrect or materially different from its description, please contact us promptly. We will review the issue and explain the available resolution, which may include a replacement, exchange or refund where appropriate.

Return postage

The first approved return or exchange is offered with return postage free of charge. Any further voluntary return or exchange requests will be considered individually and the applicable postage arrangements will be confirmed before the return is made.

Where goods are faulty, incorrectly supplied or otherwise covered by statutory rights, the relevant legal requirements will apply and will take priority over any voluntary return conditions.

Refund processing

Returned goods may be inspected after they arrive. We normally aim to complete this inspection within five working days.

For approved voluntary refunds, we normally aim to issue the refund within five working days after approval. The time taken for the funds to appear in your account may depend on your bank or payment provider.

Statutory consumer refunds will be processed within the time limits required by applicable law. These legal time limits take priority over the usual processing estimates above.

Please refer to our Return & Exchange Policy for the full return procedure, eligibility requirements and refund arrangements.

9. Consumer Rights

Some customers purchase from us as consumers rather than as businesses. A consumer is generally an individual acting for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession.

If you are a consumer purchasing online, you may have a statutory right to cancel your order within 14 days after receiving the goods, without giving a reason, subject to the exceptions provided by law.

If you cancel within this period, you must notify us clearly of your decision and return the goods within the applicable legal timeframe. The consumer may be responsible for the direct cost of returning goods where the law permits and where the required information has been provided before purchase.

Where goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet the requirements of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, consumers may have additional rights and remedies.

These may include the short-term right to reject goods, repair or replacement, or a price reduction or final right to reject, depending on the circumstances and the applicable legal requirements.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or reduce any consumer right that cannot legally be excluded or restricted. If a provision in these terms conflicts with a mandatory consumer protection rule, the relevant legal rule will apply.

10. Product Care & Use

Different scarves may require different care depending on their material, construction and finish. Please follow any care instructions supplied with the product or included in its listing.

Customers should take reasonable care when washing, drying, ironing or storing textile products. Incorrect cleaning methods or failure to follow stated care instructions may affect the appearance and condition of an item.

If you are purchasing products for resale, you are responsible for passing on any relevant product care information to your own customers where appropriate.

Nothing in this section limits any rights relating to goods that were already faulty or not as described when supplied.

11. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the content on this website belongs to STEPINFASHION 121 LIMITED or is used with permission.

This includes, but is not limited to, website text, product descriptions, photographs, graphics, page layouts, branding and other visual materials.

You may view and use website content for personal browsing or for the purpose of considering a purchase. You must not reproduce, publish, distribute, modify or commercially exploit our content without obtaining prior written permission.

Purchasing a product does not transfer ownership of our website content, photographs, branding or other intellectual property.

12. Website Availability & Accuracy

We aim to keep the website available and operating properly, but uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed. Maintenance, technical issues, hosting problems or circumstances outside our reasonable control may occasionally affect access.

We may update, remove or temporarily suspend parts of the website when necessary for maintenance, security or operational reasons.

We take reasonable care when preparing website information. However, occasional typographical, technical or display errors may occur.

If an error affects an order, price or product description, we will take reasonable steps to investigate and contact affected customers where appropriate.

We are not responsible for the content or availability of third-party websites linked from our website. Accessing an external website is at your own discretion and subject to its own terms and privacy arrangements.

13. Liability & Limitations

We will take reasonable care in supplying products and handling orders. If something goes wrong, our responsibility will be determined in accordance with these terms and the law that applies to the relevant purchase.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses arising solely from:

  • Incorrect delivery or contact information supplied by the customer.
  • Improper storage, handling, washing or use of products after delivery.
  • Unauthorised changes made to products after they have been supplied.
  • Temporary website interruptions caused by events outside our reasonable control.
  • Losses resulting from a customer’s failure to follow clear product instructions.

For business customers, and to the extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of anticipated profits, loss of business opportunities or loss of goodwill.

Where the law permits a limitation of liability for business orders, our total liability arising from a particular order will not exceed the amount paid or payable for the affected products under that order.

We do not exclude or restrict liability where doing so would be unlawful. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Nothing in these terms removes or reduces the statutory rights of consumers.

14. Privacy & Personal Information

When you use our website or place an order, we may collect personal information such as your name, email address, telephone number, billing details and delivery address.

We use this information where necessary to process orders, arrange delivery, respond to enquiries, manage customer accounts and meet our legal obligations.

We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection requirements.

Please read our Privacy Policy for more information about the information we collect, how it is used and the rights available to you.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions when our business operations, website features or legal obligations change.

The latest version will be published on this page and will apply to website use and orders placed after the updated terms become effective.

Any changes will not normally alter the terms of an order that has already been accepted, unless the change is required by law or agreed with the customer.

We recommend checking this page from time to time so that you remain familiar with the conditions that apply to your use of our website.

16. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms & Conditions and any dispute arising from the use of our website or a purchase from us will be governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory legal protections that apply to the customer.

If you have a concern about an order or our services, we encourage you to contact us first. We will review the matter and try to reach a reasonable resolution.

Where a dispute cannot be resolved directly, either party may use the appropriate legal procedures available to them.

Consumers who live in another part of the United Kingdom may also benefit from mandatory protections and court arrangements available under the laws applicable to their location.

17. Contact Us
